Best tires for all season conditions that don't wear out?

Hey guys I was wondering what you all thought this is a little off topic but my girlfriend needs new tires for her 2016 chevy Cruze and was wondering what are the best tires that don't wear out easily and are decent in the snow/rain? She drives a lot from going back and forth to work and stuff hence the reason she's put almost 40,000 miles on it in a little over a year. I don't go anywhere so I have no idea what will last but still not be to hard for the rain and snow I was thinking some Michelins I run falken tires on my Grand Prix but they are pretty soft to help it hook up I don't go anywhere so it doesn't matter lol. Looking to spend around $450ish let me know what you think thanks.

Goodyear Assurance with that Triple Tread stuff does well in all seasons. They are a little loud, but the tread life is good. We had a set our our Mazda van and it did great in the rain/snow.
 
Okay I'll check them out thanks! About how many miles did you get out of them? I had a set of good year viva 2's years ago and they wore out so quick Walmart ended up prorating them for me but they were cheaper tires.

What tire size on the Cruze? Didn't realize there were 4 different sizes available on it. Would determine what Michelin you could get in that price range.

I run General Altimax RT43's on both my GP (16's) and Bonne (15's). Seem to be working out just fine even in snow. Haven't had issues with rain either. The GP sees at least 100 miles per day and they seem to last pretty well so far. Maybe look at the Firestone FR710 as well.
 
They are 215 60 16 she has the one with the baby turbo on it lol. Yea firestones came on the car New they have lasted about 30,000 miles I can get them for like $300 New on eBay but she doesn't want to have to put new tires on every year. I have Falken ziex 912 on the Grand Prix 245 45 18 this is my second set $200 a tire it's ridiculous lol.

I can find the Michelin defenders on eBay for $483 shipped is that a decent price? Have you used them before how many miles can she expect out of them? They all have these ratings and they never seem to come close to it lol. I've heard good things about Michelin tires but I've never had a set.

i could name 3 summer tires and 2 all seasons based on what I ran and currently running
 
Before I sold my Hyundai accent, I installed Michelin x-radials on it about a year before I sold it. 90k mile tire. Hardly showed any wear when I sold it. But they are a harder rubber. About 4000 miles before I sold my Camry, I installed Goodyear viva 2. Seemed like a good tire. My wife's car, 2012 Chrysler 200, I had installed a set of General RT43. They are down to the wear bars after 40k miles. I hate buying tires, and it's not like doing research will help. Driving style, air pressure, maintenance, all affect a tires wear.
 
Look into the Hankook tires, they have 100,000 miles. Had them on my first GP and my parents have them on their Town & Country mini van and they love them. And my mom use to only use Michelin's on her cars.
 
I like the Michelin Primacy MXV4. I'm on my third set and have got close to 100K out of each this for. Excellent in any weather condition all the way down to the wear bars.
 


I just put General RT43 tires on 2 car and they are working well. I've seen dry, rain and now snow and they work well in all. The only issue I've noticed is on the Grand Prix which has a taller sidewall the tires feel a little washy if you swerve back and forth. The cruze likely has a shorter sidewall so maybe not much of an issue. Otherwise the RT43 tires are quiet and smooth.
 
I liked the RT43, but my wife brakes late and hard, corners fast, which is why they are wore down to the wear bars after 40k. I never rotated them because they wore so nicely they didn't need it. I would think they would make it to the rated 60k? If you drive regular on them.
 
It's def a balance. Typically tires with higher treadwear warranty or rating are going to have less grip and not perform as well. I currently have Yokohma YK580's on my car that has the exact same size tire you are looking for. I have run similar Yokohama's on the same car in the past and they ave all been great. The YK580's have done great for in the 10k I have had them. Great traction wet and dry with very little road noise. They aren't stiff and the ride is good. With a 60,000 mile treadwear warranty, if they don't last you get a credit towards your next set so its not a big deal. The tires are wearing good for me and should last close to the 60k miles. The past sets of similar Yokohama's I have run have lasted close to the treadwear warranty or beyond and I tend to drive faster/harder than most.

Prior to this set of Yokohama's I paid up for a set of Michelin thinking I would give them a whirl and was disppointed. Similar traction, more roadnoise, and about the same treadlife. However they started to dryrot quickly (12-18 months) just like a set I had put on my wifes camaro. The traction dropped off when the dryrot started. When I called Michelin they said it was normal and there was nothing they would do. That soured me on Michelin again.

Ditto on this, have these on sweetie's Hemi Magnum for 2 years now and they are doing great. Good wet weather performance too. Only problem with Michelins is $$$$.

Just put a set of Coopers on the '05 Odyssey minivan at my mechanic's recommendation. I'm selling it soon so I wasn't picky, but needed new rubber for the winter road trip. Anyway, $500 out the door for these installed, they drive great and great wet weather performance. I am impressed so far, and the best part, and you better sit down for this, made in the USA!!
 
I run continental extreme contact on my supercharged regal. Now we haven't had the worst winters recently but the snow we have had ive played around a bit testing them and you can actually put the pedal down pretty good and they grab very well. When it comes to braking they are amazing, hardly any sliding. They are an 80 or 90k mile tire and seem to be on track to make it there if I stop doing full throttle starts, hah.

I actually just got Cooper CS5 Grand Tourings installed on my wife's Chrysler 200. Got them pro rated, so I only paid $400 with an alignment too. Mileage ratings are just another way to sell you a more expensive tire. They rarely ever hit the advertised mileage. Those are just tested on a flat surface, perfect alignment, no bumps, same speed, etc.

+1. Had 2 sets of the on my wifes minivan, got around 60k. I didn't notice them being loud, and they were excellent in New England Winters.
