best spark plugs and wires for my gtp?

I just bought a 2001 gtp and its getting crap mpg. The car has 175*** miles so I'm just doing a good maintainence on it to try and save the gas mileage, already put new fuel filter and injectors in, about to change the coolant and put in a new thermostat, but i want to put new spark plugs and wires in the car and was wondering if anyone could tell what the best set up would be? The car is a daily driver not needing performance just reliability and better mpg, any advice would help

AL606s for a stock GTP, and for wires replace with new OEM but i also heard MSD wires and Taylor Made are good too. Just dont buy ZZPs wires

606's for stock, go Copper, but you'll have to change them more often than Iridiums. I have the Taylor Spiro 8.5mm and think they're good for the $.

Skip MSD wires. They're generally regarded as being pretty bad. In my own personal experience the boots pulled off after just a few swaps. For a stock or close to stock engine the stock AC Delco wires are more than sufficient.
