Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Tell us about your reviews and experiences with PC code scanners versus hand held scanners. Which ones seem to be the most used, highest rated and most reliable? Please post your favorites with approximate price and links if possible, preferably under $150.

For Scanmaster being software only, which hardware would you recommend as the interface between the car and PC for this product?

i use ease diagnostics but it was around 350 and its not fully it shows timing and such but not knock retard

Autoingenuity is the one i want though but its like 1100

After a couple of days of research, I am starting to lean towards this one:

Amazon.com: Equus 3140 Innova Diagnostic Code Scanner for OBDI and OBDII Vehicles: Automotive Right under $200 including shipping.

It's the only one that I can find that outright states that it can retrieve transmission diagnotic codes. Are there any other models from other brands that can do this?

Designed to retrieve OEM Enhanced and Transmission diagnostic codes in all OBD2 (1996 and newer) and some of the most popular OBD1 (1981 to 1995) vehicles
