Question!

Car has developed this annoying beeping when opening the drivers side door. It's the reminder beep as if something Is left on. Any ideas? I've checked the lights and the doors. Am I going crazy? Or does it do it all the time and I've never noticed it
 


Can't really help on this one since I haven't had chimes in the car for awhile but iirc doesn't it beep when the doors open when the keys still in the ignition so you don't pull a jayroca and lock them in the car?
 
Update.

I have now developed new symptoms. Automatic headlights don't activate and my headlights don't flash when arming my alarm on the factory remote.
 




Update again! Went to check my car and now I have no interior lights when my headlights are on. My. Gauges didn't light up either when my headlights were manually turned up. They are hooked up. To the summer wire on my headlight switch. I'm starting to think my headlight switch is bad.
 
The ignition switch harness that runs from the switch down under the dash will cause all sorts of crazy problems like you describe with the lights, heater fan, etc,etc.
My 2002 GTP and the wife"s 97 GT have been through 6 of them between the cars. Very common issue.
 


I'd be wiggling the ign switch to see if you can get any changes.
Maybe check power from the various feeds off it.
Otherwise...bcm is sounding possible
 
Ok so that's right under the steering wheel correct? OK now that I think of it a few times In the past my car was able to be turned to the acc position without my key. Meaning I can just turn the spot where you put your key and turn it to the acc position.
