The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.
After installing PT, you copy and paste the double-T icon over the microchip icon. When you do that and successfully register the cable/interface, you have unlimited VINs. That portion is less than 2mb.
EDIT: I tried to attach one of the files, but both files are too large, and this site will not let you attach executable file types.
what do you mean unlimited bins? there has never been a limit on bins... and the 1.2.4 version was unlocked for all supported bins... do you mean doing this allows even more bins? and where do you get this double T icon?
I got it from a friend in Texas. Not .bin (binary) file types, VIN as in Vehicle Identification Number. You know how there were only so many vehicles you could tune per license? Well, this makes that a thing of the past. I believe there was additional functionality added, as well, but I have no clue what the differences are/were.
dhp never had license restrictions locked to a vin. they had it limited to engine type. so if you chose the l67 then it would tune any l67. when i got mine i chose the DOHC and L67. on the last versions of the software they opened it up so it would tune all engines.
i am interested in seeing the difference in the program you are talking about though... can you email it to me? [email protected]
I don't remember all that was in the hacked version. I think it had a few more tables and more bugs worked out of it. I don't remember. The later versions also werent as good at other things though. Depended on your setup
That from my enabler. He's been out of the game for awhile, and I finally got this software well after the tuning craze trailed off, and Dory (from Finding Nemo) would kick my a* in a contest of memories, so I can't really tell you the "whoo hoo!" of the hacked version. What I DO remember is that this is what you wanted.
i have: version 1.2.4 it was released 4/26/2007 also, version 1.1.9F was released 3/17/2006 and versions 1.2.2 released 9/1/2006 I also have a Database update 5/21/2007. after version 1.2.3 which i no longer have, the tuner was opened so all supported files could be accessed, modified, and uploaded. additionally access to the analog digital ports was added. previously unless you paid for it you could not access or log them. not all OSID's were loaded into the DHP so not all vehicles will be supported even with the latest release. the data base update i have allowed me to gain additional tables for my 96 DOHC engine such as TCC settings in the trans and drive sprocket settings i needed when i did the gear swap on its 4t60e.
I guess you both prob need my version then... Im guessing it could be emailed... dont know if there is a files size limit. Hey, Im wondering if the "hack" you have is giving you shop access? when they were originally sold there were like 500 for 2 engines, 550 for access to the A/D ports, and $1000 for a completely unlocked shop version. I do not know if any functionality difference between the original shop version and the final release 1.2.4 that unlocked everything... my assumption is they are the same if not the 1.2.4 has more access.
[update] the 1.1.9f was more stable IIRC and the scanner worked much better. before UVscan came out some used 1.1.9f to be sure to get a good log. i have had both and never seen a reason to go back to 1.1.9f
Hey, Nixon...uh, I have a big problem. From the series of HDD crashes and transferring from XP to Win7, the hack seems to have been corrupted. I tried to open it and it locked up my laptop. I tried to Explore, but it's no longer recognized. That thing's gone. All I have now is 1.1.9F.
Yeah. I'm gonna miss that hacked version. Hopefully I can find another copy, it was nice being able to scan and tune the blown guys as well as us N/A folks.
Okay, I was able to find a clean copy of the PowerTunr, but not of the hack. Again, OP, if you know of a way for me to get this 50mb file to you, I'd be willing to hook you up.
