Battery problem

Ok so here is my issue I am having. 05 base GP with 3.8l My positive battery terminal was cheap and was becoming very corroded. I went and bought new batt terminals at Autozone thismorning. All I did was take off the old ones, put dialectric grease on the battery posts and hook back up. Should be no big deal right?? Wrong. I have no power at all to the car. No dome light, no light on the message center, no security light. COMPLETELY DEAD!!! Went and checked my fuse block. I'm getting 12,9v to the battery cable AT the fuse block. Pulled all fuses, non are blown and checked voltage on all of the 3 J fuses for the starter. All still read 12.9v. Please help, I have a hunk of **** in my driveway now.

get a whole new cable with the terminals already on the cable, those clamp on deals really do suck, if you just put a new clamp on one on the old cable, if you have enough cable to spare, cut it back, re strip the rubber till you get to shiny copper, if its dull and tarnished looking it wont work well.

and while your at it check the neg grounds by the bell housing on the trans, there should be 3 wires bolted to it. if you changed the neg cable, maybe you left one off, or one of the grounds broke.
