Bad Steering Wheel Shake On Downhill Braking

Wondering if anyone else ha had this problem. 2006 GT runs great but when braking on a down hill grade at higher speeds the car develops a severe shaking in the steering wheel. I have replace and balanced the tires and it did not make any difference. On level ground is dose not shake.
Car has 52000 miles. It has been doing it for the last 10K

I did not think it would be the rotors since i do not feel it in the brake peddle and it only happens on a down hill grade at 60mph +

Thanks, I will check the rotors . Just seemed like if it was the rotors it would do it anytime the the brakes were applied

One possible reason for the downhill exacerbation of the shaking: there is more force behind the braking (that causes the shaking) when you're going downhill.

You have warped rotors - you can have them turned at a local shop for something like $10/each.

While you're at it, you might want to consider a friction reline.
