Bad kr out of nowhere?

when im cruising or pulling out of somewhere and lightly step on gas my kr goes almost instantly up to around 12-14 degrees, and then if i get on it so it drops a gear then instant to 0, just started happening recently out of nowhere, not even in the boost and this happens, not gas, i ran that down and put fresh in, could a knock sensor come loose on the block or gone bad without a code? where are they at?

Do you still get KR when scanning at WOT

You could also remove the supercharger drive belt and see if theres still KR.

Is your exhaust or anything else hitting it could be fake knock.

everything looks fine, no knock at wot, and i can be out of boost and it still has it, i watched my scan gauge today and the o2 reading was all over the place while cruising a steady speed, so maybe that could be a problem? no codes though

If your o2's are everywhere it sounds like a combustion problem. spark plug/fuel injector? hows gas mileage?

narrowband 02's are supposed to do that. That's why when people say to never rely on narrowband to get a air/fuel reading. The narrowband is only decent during cruise. If the narrowband 02 sensor is dead, it would read 435v or so.

has new lucas injectors with about 2800 miles on them since my complete rebuild, and plugs i was thinking might need changed maybe they are bad now since i ran it a while without a good tune, was too rich for a while

What's your setup?

Is there anything that could be loose causing false knock?

The knock sensors are below each manifold, near the center, into the block. It's very unlikely that they would have come loose.

ported intake, supercharger, light porting on heads, 3.4 pulley, 3inch downpipe, powerlog, lucas 42 injectors, 1.9 rockers and timing is advanced 2 degrees on rollmaster chain

just because i could, make a tiny bit more power, and this thing had 0 knock up till just a few days ago and this happend out of nowhere so i dont know what to think, im going to get a new set of plugs for it, i think they are 2 or 3 heat ranges cooler autolites, what would you reccomend for this setup?

AL104's gapped at .045

Did you use 2 gaskets or a machined timing cover when installling the rollmaster? If the kr doesn't happen in WOT and does happen at low rpm/high load, it may be false kr or a very slight chance the timing chain is slapping/rubbing on the front cover.

ok i will get them, and no i only used one gasket and its not machined, its only a single chain, i thought only the double needed that?

my stupid ass found the problem, egr tube is broke completely off the intake:th_laugh-lol2: so giant vacuum leak, reason i could never hear it leaking is because i just had the egr connected but unplugged so it was closed all the time, so it was just there for looks, now im just going to block it off at the manifold and intake
