• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Bad hesitation when driving.

Couple weeks ago I changed my spark plugs. To autolite double platinum. And started hesitating real bad during drive. So I changed the plugs to ac delco nickel. And still has some, but feels a little better. What could it be.

Have you changed the spark plug wires? If not then I'd start there as one (or more) could be damaged. Beyond that, triple check that the wires are in the correct order as it is easy to get 2 swapped. And yes, the car will actually run ok like this but will have a miss/hesitation. Could also be fuel filter, air filter, dirty MAF.

I'm going to change the wires today. I changed the fuel filter, maf, air. Months ago. It idles fine. Just get some hesitation when I'm driving.its kind of odd I've changed spark plugs so many time and never has this problem.

Heck if I know. I've always run stock iridiums and one set of coppers and never had an issue. I was just bustin ya for the mad reading skillz, lol...

Still thinking there's a bad wire(s) and/or they're in the wrong order somehow. I know we always hear "I checked the firing order twice and it looks fine", just to find out that 3rd time looking shows someone f'd it up anyways.

StockGt03- When you change the wires make sure that the wires for #4 and #6 (the middle and drivers side in the rear) aren't resting against the O2 sensor or the manifold as that can cause issues as well.

there was another thread, guy ended up having the plug wires touching the o2 wires.

who reads the end of a paragraph? lol
