Bad Gasket Rear Exhaust Manifold

I recently bought a 2002 Grand Prix GT and the rear exhaust manifold gasket is bad. I have been all over the forum and the internet trying to find out how to do this myself. What I want know is what is the easiest way to gain enough room to remove the rear exhaust manifold. Can the motor be tilted or rocked foreward? please any and all help is appreciated.

We talking the manifold to cylinder head gasket or the rear manifold to downpipe gasket??

It's pretty rare for the rear manifold to cylinder head gasket to leak as they use a nice metal gasket, unless a bolt broke or something.

Removing the downpipe is easy, thats only 4 bolts. The rear manifold itself has to be disconnected from the cross over pipe, downpipe and then removed from the cylinder head. Pulling the motor forward and removing any extra brackets on the back side of the motor will make things a tad easier.

Thanks put it on ramps and unfortunately it wasnt the dp. so now i will make preparations using the thread Scottydoggs provided wish me luck.
