I have an gp base with navigation unit, I want to install backup camera. Is there any way that I could install?

i was looking this up for a friends truck, seems you would need to change the whole nav screen part, then theres another box to change, run the wires and mount the cam on the back.

was not a cheap up grade really, ran around 6 to 800 iirc

theres aftermarket back up cams.

Just get a new nav unit. I got a Jensen vx7020 for my gf Kia, and installed the system with backup, spent around 330...

Thanks I will definitely buy this but I'm wondering do I need any harness along with it?

You would turn your head when you back up. That's free at least.

the good thing about backup cameras is that you can see what's right behind your bumper. you can turn around and look all you want, but there is a blind spot there. it's kind of a safety thing, imagine all the little kids that wouldn't have been hit had a backup camera been installed and people had used them.
