So i jhave a gtp and i need a driver side axle. I cant remember if they are all the same on the driver side regardless or being a gtp or not. Can someone tell me so i can get another one, car is prety bad to drive at this point. Thanks

Im trying to get one from morad but they are closed but he has them up on his ebay store, jut nothing says gtp next to it for axles. It just says regal/grand prix/monte carlo lol. I just dont want to get the wrong one and have to ship it back.

Remove stuff.

Wheel, then axle nut (thread nut on 1 full turn, and smack it with a mallet to break it looose from the hub.) , then cotter pin from ball joint, ball joint nut, get a LONG pry bar and pop the lower ball joint out, swing the whole brake and caliper with the strut to the side and push the cv out the hub and pull from transmission.

un bolting the sway bar link on that side will give you more play room, so do that too

On the driverside, it's the tougher side IMO to remove the axle from based on the lack of being able to get behind the inner cv cup. While it's a pricey item, Gearwrench 82248 prybar is the ultimate axle removing tool. I was impressed, my mechanic buddy didn't want to give it back and a few other friends have used it. it's simply a great tool for doing these axles.
