Just wondering if you guys know of any cars that have awd and a manual transmission...Im looking to buy one later this year before the fall. Im already looking at bimmers...330xi. I like what I see but bigger maintenance means dealer bound and thats a big con. Same thing with the audi's. Im also looking at the volvo s60 R. I like what i see there and its putting out good power and torque and I hear they are great cars. I also just found the 2008 saab 9-3 turbo X. Only that year and model has the awd manual combo. It seems like a sweet car but i havent heard anything about it.

So I was wondering if anyone has heard anything about the volvo and saab? I have already heard enough about the bimmers and audi's I dont need any feedback on those.

Also, has anyone heard of any other cars with the awd manual tranny combo? I DO NOT WANT AND REFUSE TO OWN ANY JAPANESE CAR. So dont even bother bringing up any subaru or acura or infinity etc...I will not ever consider buying a japanese car, or any asian car. I wouldnt even do it if I got paid to own the car. So dont bring any up lol.

Oh and the car has to have at least 200hp...I cant drive a manual that has less power than my grand prix it would just feel dumb lol.

lol won't buy Japanese car that's mostly American and you don't want the cost and upkeep of euro cars?

Sounds like a Grand Prix is perfect for you.

I missed you and your logic.

still has a japanese name and thats enough for me.

and its not that i dont want it, id just rather avoid it if i can which is why i am asking if anyone knows anything about the volvo or saab.

i missed you and your sarcasm...theres some from me ;)

You may want to check with Drunkie. He has a Saab 9-5 Aero I think and he could probably give you some pros and cons with them.

Saab 9-3 Turbo X (dream car of mine) is expensive to maintain because there were only 600 made so parts are rare. Its AWD system is a bullet proof system and different to any of the other Saabs with AWD, nonetheless I would worry about it down the line. Other 9-3s with AWD in 09+ have manual options, just hard to find.

Volvo S60R great car, just avoid 2003-2004-and some 2005 models as the diff's tend to explode.

Both cars carry the Euro Premium price.

ok, i didnt see the manual option in the 09+ 9-3's when i was doing research online (edmunds) so if you could point out a site that would show me that and give me info thatd be awesome!

i know that the price of the cars are euro prices, i did hear the volvo might be easier to work on yourself? i mean i know the prices of parts will be high but im hoping that i can do the work myself. and i heard the volvos dont have many problems either?

just so everyone knows why I am so anti-japanese/asian car....my grandfather and uncle were both proud GM employees and are now retired. unfortunately my grandfather is no longer with us. he always bought american, always GM obviously lol. And he felt the same way about asian cars thats where I got it from and no one can change how I feel. I really wish I could buy american but theres no american cars that have awd and a manual. I know some jeeps do but they arent meeting my standards. the compass has 172hp which is baby crap lol and i know the wrangler is notorious for flippin easy which i def dont want lol.

correct me if im wrong but i beleive subaru is based out of japan and its stick and awd. yet better than almost all gp's on this forum just some food for thought

you've gotta get over your dislike of 'imported' vehicles. they are literally all better. build quality on american cars is terrible.

THIS.

All because you dislike a car doesn't mean poop. Test drive one. You'll change your opinion so fast. I used to HATE Mustangs with a passion, like literately couldn't stand them. Now I own one. Best choice I ever made with a vehicle.

But American cars are made in Mexico these days, most cars that are for sale here in the US are also built in the US (Jap cars). Some traditions are meant to be broken, just sayin'. Also a Wrangler is not that easy to flip, older ones are unstable yes, but unless your jack kniving the thing at 50 mph your fine. Now the thing of it being broken all the time is true.

Gotta search man and do you due diligence on things, cause we can't tell you what you are going to like.
