• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Aux input(s) for 2005 Monsoon 6 disc - finally!

I had tried several things, but finally found a great solution for playing my (non-Ipod) mp3 player though my factory stereo. I don't know if this will work for any other factory configuration, but I have a 2005 GT with Monsoon 6 disc head unit and no XM radio. I also have Onstar, if that matters - I'm not sure. I bought a PAC AAI-GM24 (which is discontinued by the mfg, but available on ebay). It allows you to add two aux inputs (and will also turn on remote devices if you want it to). You only have to toggle through the band functions (AM, FM1, FM2, CD..) only now I have XM1 and XM2 bands. You can even adjust the input level on each aux in to match the levels. Works great and sounds as good as my CD player!!!:th_winking:

Already a few threads about this. Including a mod that requires no module and plays through your xm source when you put in your headphone jack

Works on either the single CD or monsoon CD6 system as well. A xm equipped vehicle (whether u pay for the service or not) is all that's required.

A set of RCA's and a RCA to 3.5mm jack is all you need.

I couldn't live with out it.. I'm not ready to install a double din and I hate burning CDs.. now I just play Pandora/Jango or downloaded music from my GalaxyS3

The PAC module's ability to adjust the input levels for a higher pre-out voltage is nice though

:)
