Auto Start Feature

Was looking through the DIC the other day when I noticed under the personal program modes that I had a setting for auto start. We bought the car used but noticed that out remotes do not have any keys for that. I cannot find any picture in the manual of what our remotes should look like either. The remote that I have is a auto mate it has 4 buttons on it, lock, unlock, AUX, and a red one with a * on it. Can anyone give me any insight here? I'm pretty sure this is an after market remote.

yes its after market and the red * is the start button. try holding it for 2 seconds, if nothing try pushing it twice in a row for 1 sec each push. see if the car will start then
