Audio crackling Need help

Hi I'm new to this site and have a 98 GTP

When I bought the car the stereo in it was an aftermarket jensen tape player and it had crackling in all of the speakers.

I had best buy install a new radio with touch screen, my amp and subs, and some new 6x9 speakers. There is no crackling coming from my subs, but in the new 6x9 speakers they have the same crackling.

They recommended that I either get new front speakers as well or may have to remove a factory amp.

I guess my question is.. Can a factory amp cause this issue?? Its a very horrific sound if I turn my volume up to 20. I have tried using the fade to rear option and the noise is there even in the new pioneer speakers.

Somethings gone somewhere so try skipping the factory amp and see if it goes away, if so, the amp went bad. It happens.

When you say skipping, by that you mean taking it out right? I don't know a lot about these cars yet except they are pretty quick. I had my radio and amp installed by best buy because #1 it was to cold and #2 I looked behind the radio and found a huge plug in that was covered up so I have no idea what it was for. Then there were 2 speaker wires just sort of hanging below the dash panel where the steering wheel is that I am guessing was an alarm at one time. Then on the right side there is yet another plug in with nothing hooked up to it that has had all, but 2 wires cut. So I'm dealing with a lot of trying to figure out whats factory and whats not. I plan on looking more into it in the summer to see what I need or don't need, but for now its a little cold so I'm just trying to do what I can while sitting inside my car.
