Chris Hinson and Kevin Yates are in a team together to port heads and mislead people about horsepower gains. They cannot provide any flow numbers for there work / product and when asked about it they block and delete you from every forum and Facebook group. They typically go for people who are new to the 3800 community that think there getting a great deal but in reality are charging they way more then what they are acutually getting. Chris has even as far as threatening physical violence to people when they ask him about his work or if you do not agree with him. There are many people that can back me up on this and know what this guy is about. They have secret groups on Facebook that they talk on that no one can see unless you are added by them. DO NOT GET ANY WORK DONE BY CHRIS HINSON OR KEVIN YATES. I hate seeing people getting there hard earned money taken from them by being sold a complete lie.

My car made big power with an NIC on pump gas.... Chris did all the port work on the heads for a not bad price. I have met Chris several times, he has always been good to me.

I had emailed Chris for a quote when I was going to sell my stage 3 heads.
Memory is a little foggy but I questioned why a) he doesn't list any prices in the sale thread and b) no test results to justify his work over intense or zzp

it was point A that made me the most skeptical because if all the pricing is done through PMs then it's not really fair to our community.
Example John gets stage 4 porting for $800 and Jim is charged 1200 for same work.

Well asked I around what other members paid and it didn't add up to my quote from him via email.
I mentioned this and "Tyler" flooded the thread attacking me for bringing up , which I thought , was a valid point

My name is Tyler idk if that's who your referring to come not , but Chris sells his products to people who are new to the community and think there getting a great price for work they claim is better than any vendor can do but reality they aren't getting what they paid for. I just had a friend named Steve ask him about flow numbers and Chris immediately started attacking him , deleted him , had him blocked from fb groups. Chris also is telling the new people there first mods they should really be doing is getting there block built and blue printed and have the heads ported and guess who offers that " service " ? Yup Chris. He doesn't talk price or anything where the public can see. I just hate seeing people getting ripped off of there hard earned money.

I'm almost positive I'm not the Tyler your talking about because I have no clue what ur talking about haha. But yeah he's offering people free head porting if they bail him out of jail for beating up a friend of mine for asking a simple question about Chris " company ". Idk how to upload photos on here but I can provide screen shots if anyone would like to see just add me on Facebook " Tyler Tißbitts " and I would be glad to send what I've got

All I can say is that I made it a point to ask why he can't provide those details and I got shut down. So I moved on. It seems to be an issue and I wouldn't want anyone else to have to deal with this crap. Now look what we have going because we never held him to the same standards as we do with other members.
Reminds me of Tim King days all over again

The other thing that worries me is he doesn't only just Port 3800 heads , he does heads for LSX guys aswell and who knows what lies he's selling them. There's video on YouTube saying with a set of his head and a cam they made 330+whp and 400+wtq at 3000 rpms in second gear on zzps dyno. Another lie of numbers to get people to come to him for the " services " he offers.

Stuff like this is way too familiar in car communities. There was a guy years back who started offering turbo rebuild and turbo conversions for dirt cheap prices. He even started dogging one of the major community vendors who makes turbos that had proven to make huge numbers and said he charged too much and his turbos would make more power.

Long short, no ones turbos lasted and even though he had warranties he didn't make right on them and ended up bailing owing people well over $30k.

in racing/cars, saving money never really saves you money, and porting by hand is by its definition inconsistent and thats not even factoring in how extensive core shift can be in our heads/intake just from the molds/tooling.

i only do my own ****, **** rubbing iron for others, even for money, most i do is a quick casting blend/equalizing. finding perfect cores for em to be worth more in depth working over is difficult enough for my junk.

but with practice youll eventually be able to look at em in the yard and see if external clues dictate further disassembly to see if ive found a good set of SC cores.

trying to do that as a buisness would be a **** unless i had a nudge and wink agreement with morad for cores
