Attaching fittings on washer style bottle...

Hi,

Trying to attach 3/4" plastic barbs on a washer style bottle. I can't put a nut on the back side since the lid hole ain't big enough. I need something strong to bond the barb to the tank. What would you suggest using? I need something that will take heat, coolent, a little stress from hoses, etc. I was thinking maybe Gorrilla glue, what do yo guys think? Thanks!
 


you could just use an "AN" fitting. it would go through and seal with an O ring..... and then you could use the AN to barb fitting. it would be a clean install, with zero chance of leaks.
 
Super glue and duct tape. It fixes everything.lol!!!JK. The only thing I can think of is what UR LOSN suggested. Everything else would make it look kind of trashy and thrown together.
 
When I did my DO kit, I had to drill a hole slightly smaller than the threads on my fitting. Then I put a little paste on it, rubber washer on the fitting side and threaded it in. No leaks as of yet.

I know what your talking about UR LOSN, but I don't think that will work. I need something more permenent. Kinda like Reptile said.

Hey man, I really do appreciate you help dude. I have those same fittings on my PRJ FMHE (threaded straight w/ o-ring X -12 AN). It would would good if I could use a nut on the back side or had a boss already installed. With the thin material I don't think it would work. I would try it out, but i'd be adding $15 of fittings on a $3 bottle LOL! Although if I knew it would work good, i'd do it in a heartbeat...
 
Just some creative thought, Could you get some kind of material that would be long enough to reach and find something sticky to hold the nut enough to get it started, then use a long wrench to finish tighening it up. It seems to be easier to come up with in my head than it is to put it into actual words.

I couldn't get a nut down the filler neck, otherwise if I could do that I could tighten it somehow. Thanks for the suggestion...
