Are these heads bad?

Got these L67 heads from Morad parts company for a top swap. Are they supposed to be this jagged inside? I don't know much about heads at all. I pointed out a big "chip" is this going to hurt anything?

Looks to me like its just casting flash, but kinda hard to tell from the pics.

That is perfectly normal, nothing needs to be done. As said, it is just casting flash.

Like said looks like a casting flash. I dont think the heads would crack all the way up there if they were going to crack.

Agreed on the casting flash, but you might want to let Morad know what you found, just in case. If it does turn out to be a crack that causes problems, you'll be able to prove it wasn't your doing.

casting flash, nothing to worry about in most cases, however i grind and cleanup the pushrod area's when do a teardown as occasionally the casting will hit pushrods on modified rockers
