Are Grand Prix and Regal transmission mounts interchangeable?

I am about to change my trans and engine mounts. I saw that there are two types one is for the regal and looks solid and one is for the grand prix and is hydraulic. According to rockauto they are not interchangeable. I would rather run the solid mount from the regal. Are there differences in mount height? What is the reason they are not interchangeable according to the parts catalog?

Technically, they are interchangeable.

Curious why you wouldn't opt for the GP solid mount since you're shopping Rock Auto anyway?

WESTAR Part # EM2796S <--- "S" for solid. I'm happy with mine.

I think Scotty ordered a "solid" mount and it was filled anyway. Right? I know someone said that

I believe that's what happened.. Seems a lot of guys end up ordering solid just to get them and end up being hydraulic instead.

Hmm. Someone said they got filled mounts with the solid part #. Assuming they sent the right part in the first place.
Do you get any vibration at all?

i do at idle but i also have polly rad mounts. and i think the vibration is in my engine. it was there before hand, and is now worse feeling.

I just want true solid rubber mounts. Is that too much to ask for? Lol not sure how to tell without drilling holes in them

This is a mount that I bought Nov 2013 that was damaged in a rollover accident and is therefore covered in ATF, etc. (see damaged safety pin area ... it ripped out in the wreck) Weeks ago, I bought another and installed it in my current 99 GTP. Its the same part number and brand, sourced from the same store (O'Reilly's). Both are solid. I just jammed a pocket screwdriver through the center of this one to confirm, and no fluid escaped. Vendor's websites states materials as steel and rubber. Its a good mount, cost me $55.

EM-2796S is NOT solid. It's sold as solid, probably more heavy duty even, but it certainly sloshes if you shake it. Source: One sitting 3 feet away from me.

DEA A2796 is more solid feeling and doesn't slosh.
