• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Anyone used Narva 9006's, or Narva brand at all?

SaukRapids

I can't car too good.
I think the Aussies use these. I read before that they were German. Don't know if that was errant or if it was sold..

Anyway, it looks like they have a fine product.

Candlepower.com has the +50 pretty reasonably. I think I might want to try one of the other ones, if I can find them.

Thanks for any input!

I don't see an HID or LED listing. LOL

From what they show, they appear to be like any GE Silverstar type bulb, so better than stock, but not by much.

At the end of the day, our headlights suck, so throwing more light at them is futile. Retrofit is the only way to put good light to the ground.

Yeah, I'm probably gonna stick with regular TYC's and a couple better bulbs for a while. Classy's look real nice tho. Maybe I'll learn how to make some.

I don't think all the types listed are DOT legal. Don't much see the point in ordering from AU unless I try some cheaper ones first.

I found the +50 Arctic White here in the states. Might give those a shot.

Quit wrestling with the idea and do a retro
The projectors may seem a daunting task but once you start it all falls into place.

It will be one of the best mods you ever do with the added advantage of being able to pick wattage and kelvin rating.
Making it simple would be the newest mini H1s but better would be the D2S4.0.
The D2S will need more cutting in the radiator support(plastic) and some cutting into fender/body cross section.

Of all the work the aiming is what might rattle your nerves.
Otherwise say fck it and get a HID kit cuz those bulbs aren't going to do squat....you will never be happy.
So save your money and buy the right products.

No. Because I'm old and a stubborn asshole. :th_tongue4:

Really, I looked at what you mentioned. It's tempting, tbh, real tempting. Also, understandable that even a gooped-up newb job would have better output. Waffling is part of what I do, just is and always been. That cutting sh*t, ya know? I don't know if I can get over that, at least not how it sits now. If we end up with another GP, sure why not.

Was having a bad time trying to locate Narva. Then after all this deliberation about retros pros/cons... Narva.. they're Phillips bulbs. Save money indeed, lol.

waffling??..lol

Well just buy a TRS 35 watt ballast kit along with some XB bulbs and say fck it to cutting.
You will be able to see the country side and screw the drivers who don't like it.
I see an asston of HIDs in car and trucks and could give a rat damn about their glare.
