Anyone raced a new v8 toyota trucks?

A while back i was at the stoplight and this white new toyota truck pulled up the light turned green and I normally took off like I always would not to fast but not to slow. Then he just stomped it so I figured I would play with him but I could bareley gain on him. By the time I started getting past him he let off. Those trucks are fast!
 


My dad has one, i raced him back when i had just an exhaust, cia, and a zzp and i barley won. They are pretty dam fast, with 381hp and 401ft lbs. trq but they are a friggin ship. The brand new dodge ram hemi has even more hp and trq then the yota! This is my dad's yota.

My cousin has a 08' toyota tundra Quad cab 5.7 and he was looking into putting a SC on it. Before he did he wanted to run em with me just to see. We didn't run at a track but ran out at a local dead end rd that is 1/4mile. When we passed the 1/4 mark his front end was by my back door. Now, I dont know what factor played a part in me winning but Im pretty sure if we kept going he would have LEFT me! When we took off I spun and so did he. All I can think of is there power is up top...And my car is stock just the basic KN intake and exhaust. He has nothing done to his.
 


trucks are getting pretty fast these days. ive heard the new hemi trucks are going low 14's.

if we ever get back around to racin ill have video but i know a guy with a 04ish??? hemi quad cab 4 door. with a SMALL cam, barly bigger than stock, you cant even hear it lope, said he got it because you dont need it to be tuned. and full exhuast and i couldent shake him on the highway. trucks can move out pretty good
 
ya lol my dads actual truck truck is an 05 hemi dodge ram and that thing is pretty fast and kept up to once we started rollin

Jess if you were to kept going he would of never passed you, they shut off at 110mph, i did a little testing ;-) But they are defently some faaast trucks. The sc cost 6k but idk if thats included the install at the dealership.
 
O LOL. I didn't know when they shut off but he seemed to be pullin VERY VERY hard at the end! But just couldnt make it! Im for sure not going to mess with him when he gets the SC on it LOL
 


^^^I'm assuming that you have the SS. If not than its got to be all weight that's keeping him behind. The new gm 6.0's have 20less hp and i dont remember how much less trq than the 5.7 iforce has.
 
Love the power and TQ numbers of those trucks.. However (i was a Ford salesman for 3years until sales took a step off a cliff) not biased, just informed.. They felt really cheap, did a ride and drive comparing the 09 150 to the 08 limited (big cab) the doors felt like carolla doors, and the knobs and switches felt very cheap.. ooh and this video sealed the deal for me.
