Anyone know about cutting a coil out of your springs

Has anyone cut off a coil from there leaf springs or heated them up to lower there car? witch ones better and how good dose it work? pros and cons
 


that was a trick used back in the days, the car will bounce like crazy and most likely will ride like isht
do the right thing and buy lowering spring
 
youre compromising the structural integrity of the springs as well as throwing off the spring rate. buy springs with struts able to take them.
 
well, we dont have leaf springs. So thats not going to happen.

Dont do it man. Its going to ride like crap and bounce like crazy could even break coil spring.
 


haha i seen this done this kid at my old shop cut a coil off and drove it home next day he called in he was gona be late hmmmm, he came in a hr. later and his car on a tow truck tha spring from being so sloppy on there spun of the strut and punctured the inside of his tiresROFLMAO
