Hey guys I have asked a while back if anyone in the NW suburbs of illinois is able to perform a case learn or know someone who may be able to help me out. Its been a while and I figure ill give it another shot. Ive needed a case learn for a while on my car and I feel it is coming time to eather do it or take out the pcm and put the stock one in.

why do you need a case learn? i never had to do one yet and ive had my motor in and out, a couple different PCMs, etc.
 
I swapped out my PCM with a ZZP one and didnt have to do a case learn. But when I got my PowerTuner, I uploaded the DHP 1.5 bin file and I had to do a case learn then, so who knows.
 
it all depends on how off the PCM's setting for the Crank sensor is in relation to the one your taking out....if they are close you won't need one...if they are off it will throw a code and you will have to get one done....it can cause other subtle issues without throwing a code, but it would be driveable somewhere if you need to.
 


Ive been driving it for about 3 months now with the ses light due to a case learn. Ive had no troubles. Im worried as I would like to get it done asap
 
As well as a DHP PT, someone with a recent Aeroforce gauge could do it. I've got both and would be happy to do it if you were closer.
 
Thank you Saberwings. Unfortunetly, I do not plan im stopping by your area any time soon. Im going to have to pay someone $100 to do it.... Im sure anyone here with a tool to perform this job would GLADLY accept $50 for the job. Hell even $20 would make em happy.


Oh well no biggie. Anyway, how important is this? Exactly why do you need to get this done? I mean, the the pcm needs to know where to crank shaft is but my car has ran fine without it.
