Anyone have the Palm Centro with Sprint?

Just curious...I'm within range on my 2 year plan with Sprint to renew, and retentions is offering me a Centro for only $79.99, which is dirt-frigign'-cheap for that phone. It's got everything but wireless. The OS is stable as heck and there's a TON of free stuff for Palm...

I've got Sprint's SERO (Sprint Employee Referral Offer) plan, which is 500 mins, unlimited web/data, picture mail, N&W, & M2M for $30, plus my 25% corp discount, and it took me a few tries to get that, so I'd rather not lose it. Cingular's call quality, bar for bar, is better, but a data plan with them is much more expensive.

I've read great reviews on it everywhere, and the only thing out there that's anywhere NEAR comparable is the Pantech Duo by Cingular, which looks cool, but it's getting mixed reviews...mostly a really slow processor for things like the sliders and the fact that it feels cheap.

Thoughts/ideas/suggestions for something cool I might be missing in the $100 range? I wish I could drop the money on a Tilt or PPC6800/Mogul, but heck.. I'm married :th_laugh-lol2: I'm not a huge fan of red, but I really like that phone in red for some reason. I've toyed with it some and some people are saying the keyboard is small which is true, but I could type pretty quickly on it.

I don't have it, but my friend does...and it's a pretty slick phone, very small. I do wish it had Windows Mobile, but at that price point you can't be too picky....especially if you have SERO! :th_thumbsup-wink:

I've got the TILT right now and I love it. The screen does blow the Centro's away....and I do like Windows Mobile and the keyboard. However, my Tilt was $150...so it's all about what you want/need in your phone. Plus you would have to switch off of the SERO right? (unless you got the mogul)

I've got it. I like it. At first I was worried that the buttons would be too small but I type on them just fine. It's much better than my Treo 650 (and the Treo 700p I had for a few weeks before getting this one).

No kidding...I have my wife and I both on SERO and our total bill is $53.81 a month if we don't text :th_thumbsup-wink:

Wait, how the HECK did you get the Tilt at $150?!?! That's crazy! I'd really hate to give up a sick plan like what I've gone now, but the tilt is REALLY nice. The fact that the Centro has 320x320 packed into that small screen makes it REALLY nice. One thing I have to give the Palm OS is that it definitely doesn't crash like WM5/6 can (not saying it happens on every WM phone, but it definitely happens).

Can you get that in any other color? I love my phone! Blue RIZR. Hate T-Mobile though!!

What's a RIZR? Yeah, if you visit Sprint's website ;) :p you can get it in Black, Red, and *GAG* Pink :th_lipssealed1: :th_laugh-lol2:
