Anyone have/seen Putco Foglights?

I'm looking around for replacement fog lights. As my user name suggests, I have a 2004 Grand Prix GTP Comp G.

Currently I have standard halogen bulbs from Sylvania.

Once one of those burns out or I feel that they have been used long enough that their light output is lower than it should be, i'm going to replace them.

I've been looking for replacement Halogen bulbs that are brighter and more of a pure white. I have Sylvania SilverStar Ultra bulbs as headlight bulbs, so I want something that is a similar white color.

Based on this chart from Sylvania. My low beam headlights are 4100K Color and my fog lights are 3100K Color.

I've got Putco LEDs in my car already, so I looked at their site and they seem to have 2 different white bulbs that could work.

(These are images from the website, any sizes written on the box used on the image don't apply. Though the bulb color and such should be similar to the product I would get for my car.)

I have already message Putco about the bulbs. I wanted to double check that the 881 bulbs they have work for the 898 bulb socket for a 2004 Grand Prix Fog Light.
They said, "This bulb is correct. 881/886/889/894/896/898 all have the same base."

THE POINT?

Does anyone have these sort of Putco Bulbs, or seen them in use? I'd love to hear opinions on the bulbs if you use them, or have seen someone that had them.

never heard of them. silverstars are the best halogens IMO. i had a set and loved them. the closer to 5000k you are in the temp, the whiter the color is. and light output varies by company

I ordered the Mirror White Bulbs for my fog lights a few days ago. They should be in soon so I'll install them and take a comparision picture of the standard halogen fog bulb vs. Putco bulb. I'll do this with the headlights on so that you can see the color match.

all of those 'super bright' halogen bulbs are low lifespan crap.
Truth. I have a set of silverstar ultras in my car now, and honestly they aren't that much brighter than halogens nor are they much whiter. I just got them as a replacement bulb to last me until it warms up and I finish my retrofit. They're still closer to 3000k in color. By no means are they white. 4100k is much whiter than these are. Also those blue coated bulbs tend to not be as bright as the blue coating blocks some of the light, and that coating can burn off.

We shall see how things go. I installed them this evening, doesn't seem to be any great increase in light output, but it is more evenly distributed. Also the color matches headlights better now, both for someone looking at my car, but also I can see the difference on the road. All the light color on the road is the same instead of white/yellow it is all just white now. I'll see how long the bulbs work for, the pictures didn't come out very well, could get the right setting on my camera, so I'm not going to bother posting them.
