Sure, probably better to replace but after some drain holes and dielectric grease on the connectors I don't seem to have any further issues.
 


Doesn't seem like a bad idea, and if you're willing to keep checking them to make sure there's no issues then it should work like a charm. Lol
 
I have Spyders, so no. The Spyders have a flat piece attached so that the water that runs down the trunk side channel doesn't go right on the light.

I can take a pic when I get him if you like.

I haven't had a chance to get a really good look at a stock 97-03 tail, so I'm going off memory and conjecture... lol

I can tell you quite a bit about 04+ though... they "solved" the problem by making the actual bulb housings separate from the rest of the tail light, and put big honeycomb holes in it to let the moisture escape when it evaporates.
