anybody make stuff out of carbon fiber here?

My friend who used to make my carbon fiber parts moved away to Germany on me. I have seen some interest growing on the forum and community about interior parts made of carbon fiber.

Is there someone who has a vaccum machine and whatnot, that can make one off carbon fiber parts?

I know my friend got into it because of commercial prices, and he priced me at next to nothing. So if you can make parts, is it cost effective or are we batter off paying the 600 dollars for a real carbon fiber dash.

Secrets don't make friends!
Some guy said that to me one time. I wanted to kill him! It was the dumbest kindergarten thing I had ever heard.
I am messin with ya

I will be doing some real carbon fiber work this spring but I don't really want to tell all that I will be doing.

Why don't you wanna tell? Are you trying to be original or something, or are you one of those people that buys a set of rims and gets mad if another person buys them because they thought they looked good?

I really was asking this to people that would share their work w/ everyone and offer services at a cheaper rate to forum members than the alternatives out there.

I wish the copycat intense drag car cowl hoods that were carbon fiber would fit my 04. Bare Carbon fiber body panels is def FTW!

I know a lil' bit about it since I helped my friend build his vaccum machine.

I just thought of this, doesn't mr. farnsworth make carbon fiber stuff?

The stuff I make is cut outs of already laid and cured carbon fiber. I have a great source for these flat sheet panels. Pretty much, all I want from him. I have a stock pile in my garage.

As for other parts, I too myself am working on some one off parts. I will share my parts I will be making, cause I don't care if any body tries to copy...doubt they can do it as nice and at that price as I can.

I am out of Wichita, KS, the air capitol of America. I have unlimited sources for machining and carbon fiber. Its like heaven here seriously. I have my sources for this and that, and who can do work for me, and who is too busy building air planes for my silly little projects. I have a lot of good friends all over town to get stuff done, at the most affordable price.

But as for body panels and BIG car parts, you will just have to wait and see what all I am capable of when the RWD turbo Grand Prix project begins. The car will be put on a diet, of aluminum and carbon fiber and I will be doing to removal of steel to lighten the load. There will be an ungodly amount of carbon fiber on this car...you will see.

No, I bought another red 2dr. 1997 GTP for this project. See my profile, I have pictures of this donor car POS as she sits now.

My other red 1997 GTP that many know of, is staying the way she is. Supercharged...and hopefully running 11's when the track opens.

The donor car...no reason why she wont run 8's or 7's when I am done with it. Though I don't want to copy off Matt's TT Grand Prix, with how he mounted the turbos where the fog lights were, Thats where I was going to mount mine years back when I had the idea before he created his car. But after talking with some big dog turbo running freaks that have some serious beasts, they suggested to get them away from the ground/track so they are not sucking in the hot air radiating off the track as your running. Mine will be up higher than his for sure to avoid this problem.

Plus, pretty much the entire car will revolve around ice as its cooling property. I have the ultimate sponsor for that. :D
