Any benefit to shorter dog bones?

During my weekly trips to the you pull it I found a couple Montanas. My search results have been varied between it's awesome!, and it through off the geometry raise the engine as it blows all the other suspension components off while causing exhaust leaks.

I'd throw $10 at it as long as it doesn't cause $200 in problems.

Cosmetics and some people describe a firmer shift or similar feeling.

The stock ones are fine ..just not the prettiest.

if your car is substantially lowered, the shorter dogbones can sort of restore the geometry to prevent shimmy / wheel hop

Replace your stock dogbones with these 1" shorter replacements. Shorter dogbones will hold the engine forward, which has a few benefits as shown below.
Better oil pickup during drag racing
Removes vibration caused from lowering the car
Better axle alignment for less HP loss through the shafts
Increased weight on the front tires for better launching
Added clearance to sway bar for header and downpipe installs

Dogbones are pointless for 99% of cars. None of the claimed advantages (aside from the plug thing I guess lol) are legitimate. Merely a band aid for if you get vibration after lowering. I've been running a 5" drop with stock dB's 5 years now and have yet to have vibration
