Any aftermarket Head Unit Pics for 04+?

Since the demise of my 2000 GTP 2 weeks ago, I am now in a 2006 GT. The factory stereo has the typical burnt out light problem, plus doesn't have all of the options that I loved about my aftermarket head unit that I put into the 2000 GTP a couple of months before the car was killed. I pulled out the aftermarket head unit (which looked great with the HUMount) with plans of using it for its USB, iPod, and BlueTooth capabilities.

Anyway, I haven't seen any pictures of anyone using an aftermarket head unit with their 04+ Grand Prix. I know that they are out there, but searching (here and Google) yield 97-03 Grand Prixs... Do people not swap the radios? I like the factory sound a LOT more with the 2006 than the 2000 factory head unit, but I miss the USB and Bluetooth the most.

I've been looking to swap out my 07 radio but I feel like it will take away from the "put together" look it has now. Throwing any unit in there would make it look cheap. I'd love to see some pics if anyone has some.

I remembered seeing this in the car pictures thread posted by Drunkie so I dug it up for you:

Imo anything with a large screen will look good there as long as it's double din and not flip out.

^I have that same HU in my car also. It looks/fits really nice, but the factory radio made my speakers sound better than this aftermarket radio did.

I have a flip out in my car, but it flips down and looks like a double din. I don't have a pi'cture layin around though.

:D

Anyways, I see my headunit has been posted, its a DDX512 IIRC. I got it on ebay refurb'd for $200 or so. One of the best HUs I've ever had. I looked at Pioneer headunits for double din, but they all have a problem with long bootup times, this boots in 5 seconds. It has a built in Crossover, and I've tweeked mine and think the sound is superb.

I however do not like any of the NAV systems from any aftermarket headunit cause they all use Garmin and Garmin SUCKS. Tom Tom is way better

Garmin > Tom Tom I looked into them awhile back and they did some research and Garmin came out the fastest every single time

Agreed with Garmin > Tom Tom. I also have several relatives (including some fellow techies) that have owned multiple models of each, and every one of them has said Garmin is better.
