• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Antifreeze in my Oil - Not good...

It's not bad to do it yourself. I did the LIM on my cousins 01 malibu. I just bought the gaskets and spent an entire day cleaning and repairing.

The service people are going to do a full top end. They have the heads off and they are at the machine shop now. The car only had about 140,000 miles on it. I have 3 Pontiacs and two of them are Grand Prixs (check out my pictures), but they are not as reliable as some of my other cars. This 1992 is particularly bad. I just had the transmission overhauled. That cost over $2,000. Two months later I have this major engine problem. So I either cut my losses and just kiss the transmission job away or spend more to get the engine repaired. Of course I am making the wrong decision and I am getting it repaired. But now I am very suspicious on what else awaits for me around the corner. Oh and most of my instruments don't work. The red engine light is always on and I can not get it off. I guess I am just getting frustrated with the car.

Just don't get me started on the brakes on the car. Once a year, they have to replace the calibers. $1,000. The service people just say it is a very poor design. I take all my cars to the same service people and don't have this problem with any of the others.

I think very shortly we might be parting company.

For the money you dump into it like that your better off spending 3-5K on a newer used car.........Sounds like alot of money to invest into a nearly 20 year old car to me IMO.
