Hey gang, I've got another question.

When I was taking the transmission apart, the book said to remove (or undo) a spring. But when I looked, I did not have a spring (See pic below). Am I supposed to have one? If so, where can I get one? Or can I do without it?

There are two different styles and not covered in the book. Your linkage type does not have a "beehive" type spring as shown in the picture in the book and just has the flat metal spring that holds the linkage rod in place. Just make sure that the spring stays put as the linkage can pop off if you are not careful
