• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

I just picked up a 2004 Grand Prix GT off CL. It's is pretty good shape and right at 100k even miles. As always play to hopefully upgrade the crap out of it.

About me: Been tinkering with cars since my first Camaro at age 15. I've swapped a few Chevy small block motors, replaced a few transmissions, alternators, etc. I can rebuild carbs, replace bushing in alternators, etc. I'm not very experienced at the computer stuff which is ironic since I'm a computer science major.

Previous cars: 77 Camaro went through 3 different motors (305, 350, and 265<--Not joking, actually had one), 80' Camaro (305 again), 84' SHO, Vega (forgot what year), several others I've already forgotten about.

Usually when I get a new toy I immediately replace the exhaust with a cat-back performance exhaust. Unless someone knows of a reason not to on the 2004 GT, then that's probably my first plan for this car.

welcome!
honestly these engines dont sound very good with aftermarket mufflers or exhausts. plus there is no reason to get a whole other system as our system can freely flow up to 350 whp. instead of spending money on a catback, spend money on headers. thatll really wake the car up and you need those if you want to do any real modding.

Welcome.. Lots of info on here about modding these engines, reading is your friend.

Matt, I'm pretty sure he is N/A (04 gt's are N/A, I'm pretty sure) so an intercooler and MPS is out of the question unless he decides to top swap.
