Another GXP clunking thru the gears???

It's a 07 GXP. From what I've read it seems I'm not alone. Snaps your neck sometimes because the tranny can't figure out what gear its in and when it does figure it out you get the clunk. Also today at about 1/4 throttle it went from 1st to 3rd in a terrible fashion. My question is I've contacted the extended warranty company and they keep saying no codes no fix. Not to mention its a 200 mile round trip to take it to the dealer holding the warranty. I've had it looked at locally but it won't throw a code and until it does they don't want to see it. Should I keep harassing them or let it grenade that'll surely throw a code. Or is this just a common issue and I'll last long enough to be some else's problem in a few years?

How often does this occur? Is this a recent issue? Does it only happen during cold operation? You stated you had the vehicle looked at locally, were they able to replicate the problem?

gxp's are problems right rom the factory because of the trans. gm did a horrible job swapping this motor in. get the trans built from TEP.
