Another Automatic Headlight Question

Hey guys I'm new to the sight and I got a question about the automatic headlights. I'm sure everyone is sick of questions about this, but I searched everywhere and couldn't find an answer. I really want to be able to turn my headlights off at night whenever I may need to, but I also like them to have the automatic feature. I already disabled my DRL's by unplugging the module and I have seen alot of people post saying you can disable both the DRL's and automatic lights by removing a fuse. I want to put a switch on the fuse somewhere. That way the lights would still be automatic but I would be able to turn them off if I wanted to. I haven't checked anything out yet. I was wondering if anyone else has done this or if anyone has some tips or advice before I start digging into this project. Thanks.

yeah its took me a second to understand the diagram get it but i get it now. that will work perfect. I didn't think about doing that way. that will be a good project this weekend. Thanks alot

careful taking the little trim around the photo sensor off, your probably going to break its easy to break. you can take the dash console off and the wires are behind the dic, you might need to remove the gauge cluster to get to it but thats easy.

thanks for the heads up. I've taken the dash apart a couple times already so it won't be anything new. Not sure where I'm gonna mount the switch though. I'm thinking about taking out the little cubby hole on the left side of the steering wheel and putting in a flat piece and putting the switch there.

Put the switch in today. It takes a little while for it to switch back and forth from the sensor to the resistor, but other than that it works perfect. Thanks.

there is a timer so to speak on the sensor, like when you go into a tunnel it takes like 30 seconds for the lights to come on/off when you leave. very nice! im going to get a switch and do this too.

yeah i had to figure it out the hard way. After I put in the switch and started the car I flipped the switch and nothing happen. I got pretty pissed wondering what I could of done wrong lol. I flipped the switch back and turned my car off before the lights had a chance to turn off. After about an hour of double checking everything I just gave up. Later that night i was heading over to a friends house and flipped to switch to the resistor for no reason and nothing happen at first (obviously) but a little later my headlights shut off while i was driving and it scared the crap out of me haha. So I kept messing with it and figured out the whole timing thing.
