Analog to Digital DIC Conversion Question

Ok so I did this conversion a couple of weeks ago everything works fine except it does not give me the range or avg mpg the oil life and fuel used works the only wire i did not hook up was the light blue which everything i have read tells me i do not need this wire as i do not have the heads up display. I have a 99 se and the dic came from a 00 gt any help would be great

I would re-check these 2 connections/splices:
First-the tan wire you need to splice into the tan wire that is on the DLC(Data Link Control/
Diagnostic Plug). I did not cut the wire, I used a crimp on splice connector.

Then- the dark green wire for the VSS (Vehicle Speed Sensor) you need to splice into the dark
green wire on the back of the speedometer. There are a few dark green wires. Mine was the second in next to a greyish brown wire.

In all the wiring schematics that I have seen, the functions that these 2 wires control are not specified. All the other wires show which functions they control.
