• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

An Idea for the club

I dont know if this has already been done on this site or not, but what about a section that has strictly part numbers of components on the GP. Also, post a link to the best place to find that part. This could involve the whole GrandPrixForum community by creating a post asking for their past knowlage of best known places to find parts.

Example:

Throttle Position Sensor
Part Number XXXXXXX
www.thisisthebestsitetofindthispart.com
or
Autozone / dealership / ZZP / WBS / Ed Morad / etc.

What do you think of this.

I would like to see this site grow into something 10x's better then the other GP forums. The more useful knowlage the better.

I beleive this idea will also limit the amount of reposts of people asking
"Where can I find a drivers side window switch for a 4 door" etc.

What do you guys think?

Thanks
Tom

You know, I like this idea. Its a great way to get the whole community involved in a project and it would keep it constantly current.

I think add to the information you listed above, add the price that was paid and the last time it was updated. Yeah, Im liking this A LOT.

awsome, This would help the community out by preventing them from wasting money on a part that could have been bought cheaper or better quality someware else.

Also, in this list, you could give a rating on the part.

Example:

Etremly Poor - Poor - Satisfactory - Good - Very Good - I cant beleive its not butter.

We only have 3 parts stores. Napa cost WAY too much. Autozone is usually always cheaper. But you NEVER buy electrical stuff from Autozone! Go to O'Reilly's. This is a grest idea. I usually(ok ALWAYS) call Chris(Webracin) when I need any kind of info. He is a genius!!! Oh, here, you never listen to the employee. They almost never know what they are talking about. You better know what you need when you go in there.

Thats all good stuff, but what I want to know is who drives you to the parts store 'cause you'd get lost going by yourself?

Done, its in the how to section. If you talk to scotty real nice, I bet he would put them all together in a nice PDF document and we can add it to the HOW TO section for download, or just sticky it and put the date of the last update
