Anyone have any creative place to mount my amp. I was thinking in the rear passthrough. i have a 2000 gt.

personally, i'm trying to figure a way to mount it behind the right tail in the fender under the carpet, can't quite manage a way to make it work yet.

Why would you want to do that?
Difficult to access if you even need to again, and that's like a heat trap too.

Under the rear deck? just low enough so you can access all of the amp's controls but just enough out of the way.

Seen it done this way so it was out of the way because the person used the trunk as a trunk but still wanted good sound from the speakers.

Any place that is constricting heat is asking for the amp to burn up, stay in "protective" mode 24/7, or cause a fire. Under the carpet is a bad place, they need lots of air to breathe... spare tire area wouldn't be too bad but again... would heat up the area and unless you install fans in the board your going to have problems.
Most places create a custom box and attach to it, or make a mounting kit somewhere in the trunk designed for the amp itself... for instance, sub on one side, amp on the other, wires under the mat so its clean.

Mine is pretty much in the most open spot in the trunk and has on occasion gone into protect mode, and it's a pretty decent amp. I've thought bought fans for it even, so yeah, air air air, electronic stuff loves it.

I had mine on the deck lid before, liked it! Now I have a way bigger amp and my trunk lid flexes way tooo much!

way old pic!!! Now my amp is in front of my box, stays cool, easy to adjust while I can listen to it! New setup on my youtube (1 SMD 15'' on a SAZ3500D, it's still @ 2 ohms, 1800 watts, waiting to get the brackets to fit a large case 300a Iraggi alt., then it's 1 ohm 3600 watts!!!)

I sugested under spare tire lol i dunno? But i just have my subs facing the rear seats and my amp is screwed to the back of the box lots of air and its got built in cooling system

It is facing forward, towards the people, it's right. I don't need to face it into the trunk because I already made the box tuned to 29htz, LOW LOW!!!
