So I was looking for the coolant elbows, cant find them locally :th_scratchhead: thought I did last time, but oh well.
Amazon came up with the results , nice metal etc. so I started digging, there is quite a lot of stuff on there, and relatively cheap too.
I think Ebay would be cheaper overall, but with amazon you get their customer service, and if you have prime: free two day shipping.

Thoughts?

Whatever is cheaper. Free shipping. No tax = eBayRarely does Amazon have items cheaper and if it is , and under $35, all you pay is tax. Prime helps too but some things aren't under prime

I wont buy anything that isn't shipped from an amazon wharehouse, got burned on that before.

I like ebay, and most of the parts to fix my $400 gtp are coming from there, but cant beat that free two day shipping, or the relatively cheap overnight.

I've bought a lot of stuff from amazon for my car, its not always cheaper, but the free shipping is sometimes invaluable, like when I bought brake rotors. I got free shipping where everywhere else wanted 40+ dollars for shipping.

Funny thing is, sometimes in eBay , I'll order the same thing that was more expensive on Amazon. When it's delivered , it comes
shipped to me in a Amazon prime box

i got burned by amazon once. bought a computer item for my dad's power mac g4 (yeah it is an old machine) about 8 years ago paid for it the money went out and they shipped it to me then the next thing i know i get a call from amazon telling me that i never paid for the item. I showed them the tracking number and everything but they were like you still need to pay for it. found out later that the company i bought it from isnt on amazon any more lol.

But yeah amazon does have more than just books these days hell they even want to use drones to deliver you your item's. The FAA wont let them yet because of safety and weight limits of the craft. also how cool would it be to shoot down one of them and re program it lol

I've bought a lot from Amazon. I've bought parts and tools. The last thing I bought was free because of the Amazon points.

Have you been living in a cave with no internet access?

I've found that some parts can even be had for cheaper on Amazon than RockAuto.

For example, front struts and mounts for my Bonne comes out to almost 60 dollars cheaper versus RA.

Even if RockAuto is cheaper for the part, I always seem to get slammed with shipping charges making it more than amazon.

I like amazon when I can because with prime, I can usually have it next day, for way less than the local stores

When I put new knock sensors in my Tahoe, Amazon had the lowest price for everything. It was $153 for all the stuff on Amazon, iirc it was $189 on Rockauto(before shipping) and about $280 from Autozone.
