alternator wont charge

i have a 1998 grand prix 3.1 and the red wire at the L terminal has no voltage while running. i have battery voltage on the orange wire, i dont have a wiring diagram to trace the red wire down with. ive seen a generic diagram at autozone that shows it going to the pcm but when i try to ohm out the wire from the alternator to the pcm i have no continuity between it and any of the red wires at the pcm. now im not sure it goes that way at all. does anyone out there have an idea where the red wire from the L terminal at the regulater goes to from the alternator? any help would be great. thanx.
