(Almost) Cleaned my engine bay!

SaukRapids

I can't car too good.
Question from a nubcake: What should I pay special attention to cleaning this thing at the coin op? Should I even do that, or is this a garden hose remedy?

I've cleaned em, just not a 3800 SC. Thanks!

Just buy some engine degreaser from the auto parts store, cover the alternator with a bag, spray the degreaser all over the engine, and spray down with the hose.

Anything else besides the alternator that should be protected? I would think even though the PCM is not going to get direct water it should be covered and the distribution fuse box as well.

everything under the hood can get wet, even the alt, just dont hose it directly. take your open cone filter off too.

my car misfires for a bit when its soaking wet, it will clear up as the wires dry up. used compressed air to blow it dry last time round.
