alittle hesitation at full throttle

when I am driving I have alittle hesitation when I punch it and sometimes I dont. could this b from the Altenator or from the fuel pump? the coil packs are fine and I checked just about everything else. Could my PCM be acting up and need to b redone. My Grand Prix GT is a 98 and I also want to delete the Downstream O2 Sensor as well. I just had the exhaust fixed yesterday and from the regular stock exhaust into a 2" adaptor to a 2.5"Thrush Turbo Muffler inlet and outlet. Sounds nice and mean.
