air noise under boost

am i supposed to hear an air rushing sound under high boost? i only hear it when i really get on it. sounds like air escaping or something. :th_scratchhead: maybe its normal. also seems like the power just isnt there when i floor it, half throttle feels great. how do i know if i have belt slip? i know my s/c belt is bad which i will be replacing as soon as i can.
 


its possible i guess. go ahead and change out the pvc anyway.maybe u hear the air befor it enters blower. if u heard air after blower, u'd have moree problems immediately.

yeah im not familiar with these cars enough to say if its normal, it could very well be. my last supercharged car was a mustang where the exhaust was way louder. so im not really sure. i just thought someone might know.
 
i kno on a bmw i had, the intake (factory)had little chambers attached to them. i knocked one off and it baffled me till i finally found the chamber in my yard....crazy germans
 


I've got the same thing in my car wondered if it was an issue or not. My sound is coming from almost under my seat I just guessed it was air passing through the resonator. If you find another answer let me know maybe I have a problem.
 
if you have a boost gauge hooked up on the pillar the hose connecting to the gauge could of fell out and you would hear the sucking/blowing sounds from it.
 
this very thing happened to me and it stopped after i had my exhaust done. turns out the downpipe flange to the tailpipe was rusted and once we cleaned all that up it went away.
 
you know what the more i think about it, it could be an exhaust leak. i noticed my exhaust has a bigger leak now and the air noise i dont hear as much. i think the hole got bigger and doesnt make an air escaping noise. we will see when/if i fix the exhaust.
