AIR Injection Pump fault(PO410)

Just bought an 02 Grand Prix GT. Asshole before me must have reset/cleared codes when I bought it. After about 40 miles it threw a P0410 code for secondary air injection system. I don't care if it goes bad in a day, I just need it inspected! Ideas? Pump is around $130 and Id rather not spend that much.
probable causes from scanner at autozone: Circuit relay defective/fuse; check connector and wiring; Air Pump Defective/hoses blocked.
 


Have you started by looking at what the scanner said to look at? Check the fuses/relays, it's power connections... make sure the hoses are unobstructed, etc.
