air box





I went to go put on my open cone on, i went to go remove the air box and there are wires that hook up to the air bix. what do they do and how can i remove them?
 
The IAT in the accordian tube?

Or the PCM in the airbox itself?

IAT, stuff it in the filter and slap it on the TB.

PCM...just yank the harness off of the box it is clipped into.
 
I think it the pcm. what else would i need to look out for when taking the box out? Im just going to put a cone on the accordian tube
 


Where the airbox was.

Just leave it there, it doesn't move.

I did that on both of my WBody's...you're fine.
 
Yes.

The PCM is held in by the airbox.

Which is bolted the the body.

So when you remove the airbox, the PCM isn't bolted to anything.

So just set it there.

It's fine.

You're over analyizing this.
