Aftermarket radio

I installed a aftermarket radio on my 06 grand prix with the correct harness and all i don't have no chimes and i have no sound from my speakers, its with the monsoon set-up. Any advice would be great.
 


you need to run new speaker wire and install new speakers. moonson is its own type of animal. the speakers run on a different ohm and the wires are to thin iirc. and you cant use the amp either.
 
You lose the chimes and the date function unless you get a specific harness that actually let's you keep the factory radio installed in a hidden location.
 
All the places that sell them say nothing of retaining chimes and date function. They just keep onstar, steering wheel controls, and are supposed to keep factory amp.
