Aftermarket Radio Question

Hello everybody, I haven't been on in a while. Quick question. I installed a power acoustic in dash unit in my 2007 gxp. Now on my DIC the date and time does not show at all. It will let me reset it, but then disappears after a few seconds. My radio will also not remember the time, or any radio stations/settings that i put on the radio. The installer told me basically, that the radio is old, and just is not compatible with my car. Does this sound feasible? Has anyone else had this problem? How did you Fix it? Thanks for any help I get.
 


the time on your comand center is gone those run threw the factory radio same thing happen to me. with the time and stations on the aftermarket radio means the memory wire isnt connected research which is the wire on your radio and connect it. hope this helps
