Since the levels going into the factory amp are low-level, what happens if you connect this to an aftermarket head-unit? Does this cause clipping going into the Monsoon amplifier?
I am currently running a single 10" Fosgate P1 on a Fosgate Punch 300.2 amp and it's not hitting the lower freqs. I am "assuming" it might have to due with the Monsoon's built in crossover and want to eliminate that possibility. Also, the aftermarket head-unit I have has freq cut offs for each speaker which will allow me to dial things in a lot more.
So back to the actual question....
Is it a simple plug and play with the Monsoon or do I need to run an entirely new setup?
