Aftermarket cooler

I think based on the hose clamps the PO added an additional transmission cooler. It is causing leaks where he spliced into the lines as well as the lines on the heat exchanger.

Is it helpful and i should fix the connections or should i just remove it and get a new factory line to reseal the system.

looks like the cooler is leaking, see how the fins are all wet too. if its the only cooler being used, just replace it. they are rather cheap. hayden 24,000 gvw can be found for like 40 on ebay.

if its the hose spraying, take the hose off, cut the end of the hose off and put it back on, use some degreaser or brake cleaner to clean it up and watch for a leak to form. no leak and you fixed it.

It looks like it was put inline with possibly the factory cooler (assuming the GP came with one). The factory lines go down to the passenger side by the radiator.

Here is the splice into the factory lines which is also leaking.

i knew there was a reason to hard line that all in. never liked rubber hose. the ends tend to get used up, becoming soft and fail to seal well. cutting off a inch or so will get you to better hose, then try double hose clamps.

i got one mounted but not plumbed in yet, ive wanted to hard line it the whole time too. now im gonna try my best to not have any rubber hose.
