Hey guys, looks like I have a short in my aftermarket alarm somewhere. I have an 04. I hit the remote start but the car didn't start. After about 30 seconds, the alarm just went off. Went out to the car and I couldn't unlock the doors with the remote. The battery was low on the remote so I switched it but it still did not unlock. I opened it with the key manually but I could tell there was a short somewhere because when I tried to unlock the doors with the switch on the door, the power died but as soon as I released it, power would come back on. So I disconnected the hot wire for the alarm system off the battery and the car works just fine. So it definitely is a short. Question is where do I start looking? I hear a clicking noise on the panel by the driver side door. Should I start there?
